This quarter has been...interesting. All of the work we did was completely new from the previous year, and it proved to be extremely helpful. And I did surprisingly well, for my standards at least The long road of 3D modeling has only just begun, and it has already provided many essential tools, the majority of which will definitely come in handy for the future. While my class is also much more chaotic than last year, at least it's also much more interesting, and my classmates actually know what their doing. This group of people to go to when I'm confused is an incredibly helpful thing to have, as I will always need help. But I have realized that while my work is enough to get by, it's not very special, and I need to pick up my game. So expect some interesting work in the following months.

I've been quite active in the use of pixel art, mostly for portfolio work. But in the process, I found it to be quite interesting, as it is something I've wanted to work with for awhile. And its quite enjoyable to work with as well. While I may have no idea what I'm doing, that means that I'm doing this all without prior knowledge. And I also did this without practice before hand, (or maybe this is my practice?) And that's....something, but that doesn't mean that I won't continue to get better at it. And I plan to experiment with this type of art style, such as testing a new type of design for each image. I plan that by doing this, I can post this type of art more often. And once I believe a have a good understanding of this, I'll move on to try another art style. But in the time that I am working on this, I find it quite fun, as it dosent have to be too complicated. But still requires enough detail to be appealing. It allows me to make up for what I lack in hand-drawing skills. So I'll try to make the best art I can, but before that... I'm gonna make some weird stuff
Every time we use a new tool in class, we end up talking about it in some way. So this time, I will be talking about compound objects. Compound objects are the combination of two or more objects to create a single shape, wether it be a hole in a square, or letters attached to a box. The addition of this new tool makes everything so much easier, as I can now make certain shapes in 3 steps instead of 10. The picture above is an example of my favorite among these new tools, which is the Loft tool. Its job is to create a shape out of the characteristics of two others, such as making a cylinder out of a line and circle. But then there's the option to change the direction of that new shape as well, which can be used for a variety of things, such as the trumpet above. This one is my favorite due to how much time it saves me, as making both of those with older techniques would have taken me a week, but instead this took me under half of that time. The next topic is the ProBoolean compound tool, taking the title of most helpful tool. It earns this title due to how it works as many different tools in one. Addition, intercept, attach, you name it. This tool is also a huge timesaver, as it allows for the user to use to create multiple compound objects without having to search for five different tools to use. The picture above is a great use of its various features, as every detail on the fireplace was made using ProBoolean. That ends it for my list, with both of these choices making modeling much easier. Which I will certainly need for the future, as this 3D Modeling stuff definitely won't get any easier.
