Avengers Endgame is probably the most anticipated movie of the year, and it is now my time to share my opinion about it. And because I respect your sanity, there will be little to no spoilers in this post, but if you don't want any form of spoilers whatsoever, this is your chance to leave, now. While some parts of the story were a little messy, the way everything was brought together at the end was quite beautiful, ending the Avengers in a perfect way. But I know what you actually care about, yes, there is a Stan Lee cameo. While the movie itself was great, so were the large amount of fans there to watch it, with everybody there just to get inside, as they had all already bought tickets. There was also a far amount of costumes as well, and cheering, so much cheering. Neither myself or anyone else seemed to be disappointed by the ending, so that means it was done right, as this is the end of the Avengers, for now. While this series may be coming to a close, Marvel is still going to be making movies, with a new Spider-Man movie coming very soon. The Avengers are only a part of the Marvel universe, and they still have plenty of surprises in store.

I've mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn a fair number of times in other blog posts, but have never gone over it, so here it is. Not only is the game open-world and stunningly beautiful, but has a story that carries an emotional depth on a to completely different level. The setting of the game is quite strange, with the humans of the game consisting of tribes (and a few medieval-like societies), highly intelligent ones as well, taking place during the year 3040, after the extinction of the original human race. And most notably, the world is inhabited by powerful robotic animals, perfectly integrated into the different ecosystems. Which pairs well with the role of the main female protagonist, who is a master machine hunter. I find that the way the developers were able to make a topic like this actually work is quite impressive, as the story is extremely thought out, considering how strange this idea may seem. This game also is a perfect example of how being cocky towards enemies can lead to serious consequences, as the easiest machines in the game are still very capable of killing you quickly, even if you are in the later portions of the game. Now, onto the mechanics. The part of the gameplay that especially sticks out to me is the upgrade system, as I've mentioned how I love upgrades in other posts. The majority of the materials needed for crafting/buying various items come from salvaging dead machines, as well as collecting wood or herbs along the way, so a good among of searching is in order. Stealth is also major part of the game as well, with almost every fight a player enters with a group of machines (machinery?), starts with some creeping around in the bushes. Not to mention the incredible need for strategy, with every machine/human having certain weak spots, requiring some accurate shots. The inspiring design of this game has won it a fair number of awards, competing with Breath of The Wild for the title of game of the year. And will most likely be remembered for a long time afterwards.
My class has just begun to get into the basics of 3D modeling, which so far, seems interesting. Most of what we have done so far is creating models through simple shapes, like spheres or boxes. The experience seems, (and I might be getting ahead of myself), a little easy. While the software gets a little more difficult with the introduction of subobjects, enhancing the detail of a model. Such as the image below, which is my first time working with the particular subject. Quite simple so far. (Still ahead of myself). I honestly find the mechanics to also be quite straight-forward, with the tool symbols ACTUALLY looking like what they really do. And working with subobjects is also quite interesting, as well as fun. Going deeper into the certain features for changing a shape is where it gets complicated, because if you have wire-frame mode on while adding sides to a shape, then the screen can get quite cluttered and confusing. The entire setup of the software is familiar to me anyway, since it has many similarities to the setup of some Adobe products. But the variety of tools can make 3DS Max confusing. It covers so many pieces, but can take ages to master all of the tools and techniques. Although, since it has so many tools, it gives you great control over everything, so you could turn a single box into a detailed car. I do genuinely hope this software doesn't drive me crazy, since both Mr.B and students in other classes claims that it gets old quickly, as it will be the main focus for the rest of my school year, as well as the entirety of next year. *sigh*.
